Committee Role Overviews
Chairman: the principal figurehead, elected for the overseeing the running of the club, chairing monthly committee meetings and AGM.
Vice Chairman: elected to support
and deputise for the Chair in their absence.
Treasurer: elected to manage, report and advise on all aspects
of the financial management of the club.
Secretary: elected to record all decisions that the committee
makes and support the Chairman in his duties.
Welfare Officer: elected to ensure that all child safeguarding and welfare matters are managed appropriately.
Charity Returns: to liaise with the
Chairman and Treasurer to manage the annual return process.
Volunteer Co-ordinator: to manage the
volunteer base to meet the needs at training sessions, gala’s and any other
events.
County Representative: to attend monthly
meetings representing the club.
Membership Officer: to be the focal
point for all membership related issues (registrations, monthly fees, annual
renewals).
Shop: to oversee the smooth running of the provision and
product offerings with the 3rd party supplier.
SwimMark Officer: to co-ordinate and
oversee the SwimMark submissions and contact.
Fund Raising Officer: to promote fund
raising activities for the club to help achieve the annual budget and links
with other local causes.
Senior Coach: to hone competitive swimming capabilities and motivate
swimmer aspirations.
Junior Performance
Coach: further develop all competitive swimming capabilities
and, physical and mental attributes.
Junior Development Coach: to develop technique
and abilities for competitive swimming.
Sharks: to develop confidence and swimming ability.
Dolphins Coach: to assess, onboard
and develop new swimmers into the club.
Masters Coach: to provide
appropriate and stretching training sets to compliment swimmers abilities and
goals.
Gala Co-ordinator : to communicate and
organise with stakeholders to ensure the effective running of galas.
Press Officer: to publicise the
achievements at galas and wider activities of the Club, and its swimmers
through local media outlets.
Website Officer: to ensure the website
is appropriate, current and fit for purpose.
Facebook & Twitter: working with the Website Officer to ensure social media updates are timely and appropriate.
